Just 5 minutes north of our little beach community is Puerto Morelos, a small fishing village that offers a completely different look into life on the Mayan Riviera than that found in Playa del Carmen. Puerto Morelos is home to generations of fishermen, the latest of which still go out to sea each day on their small boats and come back with the freshest fish you’ll ever eat. Stop in one of the delicious local restaurants and eat how the locals eat – it’s delicious.
