Puerto Morelos
Puerto Morelos is just 5 minutes north of our gated community, and makes for a great place to spend some time. For those guests who would rather avoid the hustle and bustle of Playa del Carmen, Puerto Morelos is a perfect place to stock up on food and supplies or grab a bite in a restaurant with a much more local feel than the bigger city to the south. There is a small town square that has a few good restaurants, a book store, and a small grocery store. The reef just off the coast of Puerto Morelos is the most beautiful on the Mayan Riviera, and local guides offer morning and afternoon excursions. Most of all, Puerto Morelos is a great place to enjoy the atmosphere of a quiet fishing village on the Mayan Riviera.
Playa del Carmen
Playa del Carmen is just 15 minutes south of Playa Paraiso and is the main tourist hub of the Mayan Riviera. Restaurants of every variety and shops of every breed are found here. The coastline blocks are the main center of the tourist zone in Playa, and Fifth Avenue, which features many shops and restaurants, is the center of the tourist zone.  There are many clubs and bars in the tourist area, so if you are looking for exciting nightlife, this is the place to come (and if you aren't, well, this is the place to avoid!) Authentic Mexican cuisine and culture can be found in Playa, afterall, it is the fastest growing city on the Mayan Riviera, by wandering inland off the beaten path. This is where the locals live, work, and play. Playa is also where you catch the ferry to Cozumel.
Cozumel
Cozumel is an island in the Caribbean Sea about 45 minutes offshore. Scuba enthusiasts come for the spectacular diving, but others come just to experience this iland that is only about 10 miles by 30 miles. Catch the ferry to Cozumel in Playa del Carmen. Ferries leave every hour and the ride takes about 45 minutes. The island is home to the Festival of El Cedral, a large five day festival that takes place at the end of April and beginning of May each year
Mayan Ruins

There are many Mayan ruins on the Yucatan Peninsula (and many yet to be discovered), including three in particular that are spectacular and convenient to the Mayan Riviera. Tulum, which lies at one end of the Riviera, is a small ruin but has a beautiful beach for swimming and also has shopping and food. Coba is in the forest, 45 minutes inland from Highway 307. Coba has temples and pyramids. But if you can only visit one Mayan ruin, visit Chichen Itza. It is breathtaking, and has been restored and its lawns manicured to make it seem like you’re really stepping back in time. This site also features restaurants, and museum, and stores selling unique gifts.

Tres Rios Ecopark

The Tres Rios Ecopark is located just 10 minutes south of Playa Del Carmen. The Ecopark is a tropical reserve to showcase the natural beauty of the Mexican Riviera ecosystem.

Cenotes Kantun-Chi
Cenotes Kantun-Chi is another ecopark, this one 22 kiometers south of Playa Del Carmen. This ecopark features four impressive cenotes, which are limestone and coral wells that lead to underground rivers and caves. You can swim, snorkel and scuba in the cenotes; snorkeling equipment is available to rent from the ecopark
Xcaret
Xcaret is something like the Maya version of Disney – but don’t expect tacky! Educational and fun, Xcaret features Mayan reenactments, traditional music and dance, and small zoo. There is also a water theme park that will delight anyone in your party
